Virgin Atlantic has resumed its route between Cape Town International and Heathrow airports.

The airline announced it will be offering a daily direct flight on this route.

Operations began on November 6 2022, making Virgin Atlantic flights to Cape Town available on a daily basis for the first time since 2015.

This is part of the #CapeConfidence campaign and the move will add 80 000 seats between the two cities.

Virgin Atlantic’s relaunch was announced on 5 November at an event attended by the airlines founder, Richard Branson, and various tourism representatives.

Also in attendance was Cape Town’s Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis.
