French footballer, Kurt Zouma have been slapped with a heavy fine after he was seen in a video kicking his cat like a football across the kitchen floor.
In the video, the 27-year-old West Ham United star can be seen slapping his pet’s face before he chases the animal around his dining room while the cameraman who is believed to be his younger brother, laughs.

Following the video, Zouma has received heavy criticism from supporters around the world as they call for the Frech star to be suspended, however, he was only fined £250,000 (R5 161 761,74) which West Ham United deemed as the maximum fine they are able to hand out.
Zouma’s cats have also been rescued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals after thousands of people lodged complaints.
Meanwhile, Zouma is one of several footballers to come under the microscope for their off-field actions after Manchester United Midfielder Mason Greenwood have recently been released on bail following serious allegations of physical abuse made against him.
