A large male lion recently made headlines as it executed a daring escape from a moving vehicle in Bakerville near Lichtenburg, North West.
The footage, shared by Izak du Plessis from Nuuspod, shows the lion leaping off the back of a moving truck and landing rather clumsily on the road.
The primary video captures the unexpected moment, while the second offers a narrated glimpse of the lion strolling alongside a fence that borders the roadway.
Eyewitnesses have reported that the lion appeared unharmed after the jump, which has led to a flurry of comments and speculation online.
In a matter of hours, the videos accumulated over 1 000 views, drawing both fascination and concern from the viewers. However, efforts to uncover the entire truth behind the incident have been met with ambiguity.
According to Caxton Network News, the reported owner of the lion refrained from verifying the event’s authenticity, suggesting instead that the video’s legitimacy could not be confirmed on his end and recommending that those enquiring should reach out to the individuals who recorded the footage for precise details.
Caxton Network News noted that the owner did, however, assure the public that the lion was currently safe, caged at his farm.
