Brooks, who commands a large audience on TikTok, posted a video detailing how her car was broken into and valuables stolen from the boot.
Among the missing items was her skydiving equipment, valued at more than R100 000, along with a bag containing bank cards and other personal belongings, as per The South African.
The incident unfolded during a brief stop, highlighting what Brooks described as a momentary lapse that carried lasting consequences.
In her Tiktok video, she issued a clear warning : ‘Don’t leave your car unlocked.’
She explained that the stolen gear alone was worth around $10 000 (approximately R160 000), making the loss both financially and emotionally significant.
‘There’s nothing i can do about it,’ Brooks added in her video.
She admitted her initial reaction was to leave the city altogether.
