Residents from Haasendal, Jacarandas and Jagtershof areas can expect water disruptions on Thursday evening through to Friday as the City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate will be doing the replacement of the leaking T-connection on the 450mm diameter water supply pipeline.
The City stated that replacement of the leaking T-connection could only be done after the control valve was installed, which is due to the water supply network configuration in the area. The control valve has been installed and the repairs can now proceed.
Residents are urged to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for domestic use during this period and to keep their taps closed to prevent any water wastage and/or damage when the water supply is restored. The City added that careful consideration has been given to the planning of the work to minimise the impact on residents.
