The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an Orange level 6 weather warning for most of the Western Cape, Cape {town} Etc reports.

A cold front is expected to result in strong and gusty north-westerly to westerly winds over much of the Western Cape province on Tuesday 27 August 2024.
Strong to gale force winds of 40 to 80kph are expected over the Garden Route, eastern Overberg, eastern parts of the Cape Winelands and southern Central Karoo on Tuesday late morning until the evening.
Gusts are expected to vary from 90 to 120kph.
N1 road users may face delays due to issues affecting high-sided vehicles.
