According to SAWS, the warning will be valid from 6 am until midnight on 15 April, with a cold front over the south-western part of the Western Cape in the evening causing south-westerly swells. Wave heights of 4m to 4.5 m are expected between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas on 15 April, with South-westerly winds of 30 to 50 kph.
SAWS cautioned that the expected swells would cause difficulty in navigation at sea, with small vessels and personal watercraft like kayaks may be at risk of capsizing. Small harbours are also likely to be affected for a short period.
