The South African Weather Service has issued an impact based warning for level 8 damaging winds.

The affected areas are as follows: City of Cape Town, Drakenstein, Overstrand, Stellenbosch and Theewaterskloof.
The service has warned that winds resulting in widespread structural damage is expected over the listed areas above on Sunday, 7 July.
The prolonged strong winds with gusts exceeding 100km/h are a cause for concern.
The potential impact is widespread damage to formal and informal settlements and structural damage is to be expected.
Widespread disruption to power, communication and utilities is also possible.
Extended travel delays and high sided vehicles may be at risk of falling over as a result of strong crosswinds.
The weather service has instructed residents of listed areas to be aware of sudden cross winds if travelling, fallen trees, power lines and flying debris.
Small boats must stay away from the open sea.
Residents are further advised to ensure that temporary structures are well anchored.
