It may feel like summer today, with the mercury expected to reach 30 degrees, but as we approach the next season, there’s a surprise in store for us tomorrow night – snow in the Western Cape!

It seems that winter hasn’t bid us adieu just yet, with a dusting of snow expected to fall over a fairly wide area of the Western Cape’s southern interior region tomorrow night. Snowfall could come as close as the mountains surrounding Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, heading further up north to the Matroosberg.

The cold front due to touch down over Cape Town by the early hours of tomorrow, bringing along with it over 10mm rainfall. It’s hard to believe given today’s stellar weather in the Mother City.
