WhatsApp plans to launch a new update called the ‘Read Later’ feature to reduce interruptions.
According to trusted Whatsapp tester WA Beta Info, this will be an improved version of the archive feature.
This new function will allow users to archive chats, and turn off notifications for new messages from archived chats. Any new messages will stay in the ‘Read later’ section.
The ‘Read later’ section will be visible at the top of WhatsApp chats, and is editable so that users can re-enable notifications for stored chats.
The feature is still currently under development and has no launch date as of yet.
