Volunteer Wildfire Services, Table Mountain National Park and Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services are on scene trying to douse a runaway fire at the base of Table Mountain.
Social media posts pin the fire to the Deer Park area. Strong winds are fanning the flames. Helicopters are dumping water over the fire in a bid to contain it.
