Getting your flu shot this Winter just got a whole lot easier thanks to a partnership between Uber, Discovery Health, Clicks and Dis-Chem which will bring your flu shot to you.
In a matter of minutes, the e-hailing service will transport a qualified nurse to your location who will be able to administer the flu vaccine to up to five people for just R100.
This new service has been tailor-made in order to consider and assist hard-working individuals who often do not have time to get their flu shot due to their busy lifestyles.
“We are trying to help busy people to have access to [the] flu vaccine,” said Uber country manager, Nduduzoi Nyanda on CapeTalk.
Locals selected areas in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, and Port Elizabeth will be able to make use of this new offering.
Now the flu vaccine can be as easy as requesting an Uber and residents can simply order their shots off of the app.
“All you need to do is have the Uber app on your phone and request the Uber wellness,” says Nyanda.
This new partnership not only aims to help busy people get their flu shot but also to ensure fewer people get sick this year and spread awareness of the necessity of getting your flu vaccine along with the rest of your family.
