A 13-year-old boy from Yzerfontein is quite a few years shy of having a driver’s license, but this hasn’t stopped him from running a car-wash business through the power of his bicycle.
Ambrose Bezuidenhout, a top student from Darling College started his car wash business out of a passion that most entrepreneurs start off with – wanting to earn a little something something on the side. Putting his pocket money endeavours into his own, well, pockets, Ambrose and his bicycle have quickly become a social media favourite.
Turning his peddling into profit, the youngster washes cars as he goes around the town, sporting roughly 1200 people.
His trailer is really his secret partner in his endeavours, standing firm as the transporter of his cleaning products.
Ambrose averages 15-20 cars in a week, according to GoodThingsGuy, and works around his other tasks like schoolwork, being the diligent student that he is.
Today it’s washing cars, but in the future, it could be working for the likes of Elon Musk (cleaning space cars maybe?) as working for the world’s richest person is a dream for Ambrose, per his parents, speaking to Netwerk24.
So, if you’re planning a trip to the small coastal town, make sure to leave your car in need of a little sprucing up.
