Take Back Our Mountains is a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting Cape Town’s mountains by organising safe community hikes and cleaning litter left on the trails.

Signal Hill, which connects Kloof Nek to Lion’s Head, is a popular hiking and sundowner destination in Cape Town.
Visitors may take in Cape Town’s breathtaking panoramas from its 350-metre peak, and it’s the perfect location for a picnic.
#TBOM cleanup
Take Back Our Mountains has organised this cleanup in collaboration with Table Mountain National Parks, Blue Ribbon and Clorox African.
The cleanup will happen on Thursday 24 November on the Signal Hill contour path.
The event organisers ask all attendees to meet at 9am for 9:15am at the Kiraamat parking lot.
Note the following:
- SANParks is in charge of the areas.
- No damage shall be permitted to any natural vegetation, animal, environment or property.
- Any damage must be repaired at your expense.
- The use of only accepted pathways and roadways shall be permitted.
- No parking in front of access roads.
- There will be no trampling of vegetation.
- No fires.
- No smoking.
- No loud music or amplifiers are allowed.
- The area must be left clean and tidy.
