I’ve never had the pleasure of living in a Clifton mansion, but what I picture when driving through the affluent suburb and gazing up at the glasshouses perched against the mountainside is this: gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Town’s gentle breeze caressing my cheeks, the sweet melodies of Mozart playing in the background, and the smells of my private chef cooking up a storm in a state-of-the-art kitchen, writes Cape {town} Etc’s Lynn Cupido.
While dreams of becoming a lady of leisure may not materialise anytime soon, I made it my mission to find a Clifton accommodation that didn’t require me to give up my savings and sell one of my kidneys.
