Here on the homefront of Cape Town, we have recently seen our fair share of inordinate mansions.
If Bali’s recently transformed Boeing 737 into an opulent private villa is a quantifier then Cape Town’s keeping up with world standards.

Businessman Felix Demin bought the aeroplane from Mandala Air in 2021, stripped it and turned it into a gorgeous villa with “top-class amenities” available for rental to visitors to Nyang Nyang Beach in Indonesia.
According to Hotel.com, you can expect the following at the accommodation:
- A sunken outdoor patio space surrounding a private fire pit
- A wing-top terrace that’s tailor-made for epic sunset viewing
- Neutral-toned interiors that set the right relaxing mood
- Two bedrooms, both with king-size beds
- An infinity pool overlooking the ocean
- A full bar
If it is on your bucket list to have the ultimate private jet experience, you are in luck!
The villa is now open and will take reservations from April.
