The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) has firmly integrated its Care Campaign into its operational philosophy, evolving it from a seasonal initiative into a permanent commitment.
This strategic transformation underscores the CTICC’s dedication to sustainable corporate social responsibility, with a focus on fostering long-lasting community impact rather than providing short-term relief.
A beacon of generosity and growth
Since its launch on 18 July, the Care Campaign has emerged as a pillar of support and hope, gathering momentum and inspiring widespread contributions. To date, over 2 000 essential items, including clothing, toiletries, educational materials and food, have been donated.
The CTICC has served as the primary collection hub, reinforcing its pivotal role in this initiative. While efforts to expand collections to other venues – such as the DHL Stadium, Artscape and City of Cape Town offices – have seen limited success, the CTICC remains at the heart of this philanthropic endeavour.
Driving community engagement
The CTICC’s approach to corporate social responsibility is deeply intertwined with its operational ethos, motivating staff, partners and visitors to contribute.
This campaign not only addresses immediate needs but also cultivates a culture of generosity and civic responsibility among CTICC employees and the broader Cape Town community. Notably, international guests attending conferences and events have also played a key role in the campaign’s success.
Strengthening partnerships for impact
As the Care Campaign progresses, the CTICC continues to rely on and nurture its partnerships with Local Community Partners (LCPS). These collaborations are critical for ensuring that donations are efficiently distributed and that aid reaches the people who need it most.
Excitingly, the CTICC will soon introduce new LCPs. Broadening its network and amplifying the impact of its efforts.
A vision for the future
The CTICC is committed to not only sustaining but also expanding the Care Campaign. Future goals include increasing the volume and variety of donations and enhancing recipients’ quality of life through strategic partnerships and targeted community service.
