Beach volleyball is coming to the Grand Parade for The Volleyball World Pro Beach Elite 16 Tour in Cape Town the first week of November.
The Parade will get a faux beach facelift with 1000 cubic metres of sand trucked in to create four beach volleyball courts to host the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour.

The Beach Pro Tour is the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organised by Volleyball World and the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).

The current format started in 2022 and is now called the Beach Pro Tour comprising three tiers: Future, Challenge and Elite 16.
The Elite 16 round is being held in Cape Town with the top 16 men’s and top 16 women’s teams travelling from all over the world to battle it out for ranking points and the prize money on offer.
There is limited capacity in the grandstands especially, and general access tickets start from R100.
This is a must not miss – something different in the Mother City, and an international event!
The Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 together with Radio Partner Heart FM, guarantee a music & festival atmosphere with live broadcast and MCs.
South Africa will be represented among the 16 Elite teams by Leo Williams and Grant Goldschmidt, using the Wild Card entry given to the host nation.
The pair represented SA in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham earlier this year.
A further three SA teams will play in the qualification tournament, amongst them a female team.
The tournament will be broadcast Live on SuperSport Variety 2, DSTV channel 207.
