Women’s Golf Classic
Whether your golfing hero is Annika Sörenstam, Lydia Ko or South Africa’s very own Ashleigh Buhai, Hazendal is celebrating all the women in the world of golf this August by hosting the inaugural Hazendal Women’s Golf Classic event.
The competition takes place on 26 August 2021 at the immaculate 18-hole par-three golf course on Hazendal Estate in the scenic Stellenbosch winelands.
Entrance costs R590 per player and includes a welcome drink, a warm-up session at The Burrow driving range, and a round of 18 holes. All ladies also receive a complimentary bottle of Christoffel Hazenwinkel wine and will enjoy the unique Russian Tea Ceremony experience after their round.
Players compete in teams of two, and carts (R230 per cart) are available on a first-come first-served basis.
A collection of wonderful prizes from estate wines and tasting experiences to adventures at the Kleine Hazen putting park will be award to the winning teams.

Here you can look forward to an inspired collection of plates including venison and lamb ragout with homemade pappardelle pasta; Cape fish potjie; garlic-and almond-crusted chicken; and Cape Malay vegetable curry. Should you opt for three courses, the caramel banana oatmeal pudding with baked ginger-scented custard is a must-try.
