Thousands of runners are expected to let their fingers do the walking when local entries for the 2025 Two Oceans Marathon open on Monday, Cape {town} Etc reports.
Next year’s Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon will be the 54th edition, with ‘the world’s most beautiful marathon’ scheduled for April 5 and 6, 2025 (Ultra and Half Marathon).
Africa’s most popular road race attracts over 3,000 international runners each year and is highly regarded as a top ‘bucket list’ running event around the world.
Once again, South African runners will enter through a draw or ‘lottery’ procedure. Runners who want to enter will enter a draw or ‘lottery’ and will be assigned an entry once their name is drawn.
Entrants will get confirmation of their entry after paying for it, providing they meet the qualifier and any other conditions mentioned by the appropriate deadline. Runners may participate in only one event.

Runners taking part in the draw may pay for their entry only once their name has been successfully drawn and are allocated an entry.
Runners drawn in the ballot have until midnight on Saturday, 30 November 2024 to make their payment. Entries not paid by the payment due date will be forfeited.
