The acclaimed international modelling competition, Star Fashion Look of the year 2018, will be hosted in the historical and magical city of Xi’an, China in October and calls for South Africans to enter.
The competition will host 46 contestants from around the world and each will compete for the title of Star Fashion Look of the year 2018.
The winner will receive a one year endorsement agreement and a cash prize of 50 000 USD. The other five runner ups will receive a cash prize of 10 000 USD each.
Xi’anis located in China and is one of the oldest cities in the world and is embedded in rich history and culture, known for its sprawling parks, pagodas, museums and hot springs.
There will be over 500 000 entrants from over 600 cities across five continents going head to head for the title. The competition has an array of diversity from entrants and welcomes all entrants.
South Africans are encouraged to enter the competition as part of the African division.

The event is organised by Star Fashion and supported by the Xi’an municipal government. The competition will be broadcasted on YOUKU/TUDOU – China’s largest digital platform along with three major international satellite television channels and Star TV.
The judging panel will be composed of representatives from top modelling agencies in the world such as Ford models New York, Ford models Paris, Premier model management London, Nomad Miami, Donna Tokyo and presiding president of the panel will be J Alexander.
J Alexander is referred to as the ‘Queen of the Catwalk’.
