CHELSEA SMILES
We totally love the unique design of the Chelsea Showwood Tub, a perfect meeting of wood and textiles.
All the pieces at Woodbender Furniture are designed and crafted in South Africa. Aesthetically pleasing and practical, Woodbender products turn any living or office area into a comfortable and sophisticated space.

PUT A RING ON IT
Megan Keyser of Meraki Jewellery Design uses raw stones, sterling silver and recycled brass to create delicate, timeless pieces inspired by geometric shapes and heirlooms. Her line is a combination of playful and elegant pieces, each handcrafted in the Mother City and celebrating the natural imperfections of handmade work.
This brass hexagon disc on a sterling silver ring is a prime example of Megan’s handiwork and the geometric designs Meraki is known for.

The Water Jacket from Hannah Collection is an easy-wearing, durable kimono jacket – just the thing for a breezy day. Keep the Southeaster’s chill off while looking stylish and on trend too with the nordic stripes and crepe fabric.
Hannah Collection by Cape Town designer Hannah Lavery produces a sophisticated range of handmade womanswear. The collection celebrates subtle design and honours femininity, exploring the contrast of dark and light, hard and soft, flow and form. Stokperd is a favourite furniture designer here in the CTE.com HQ for their simple, clean designs.
We’re quite taken with the Fourié Side Table. Made from solid oak and with its own storage shelf tucked below, it is small enough to fit inside a compact room. What’s more, it can be customised to your wood and size preferences.
Founded by Monya Eastman, Stokperd is based in Cape Town. All items can be customised to your specifications, and if you need something designed from scratch Monya will come to your home, measure your space and make your ideas a reality.

SPELL IT OUT
If you’re a Scrabble fan and aspiring wordsmith, you’ll love these wooden Scrabble coasters from Mocho Loco. It’s one way to ensure your friends get the message – stay long and party on. The letter blocks are made by hand from pine with a burgundy felt back to prevent scratching.
Made by Vicky Alvarez, a Cape Town local with a passion for design, Mocho Loco is a boutique design studio that specialises in branding, events stationery and illustration. Although she was born in Buenos Aires, she now calls Cape Town home, and we’re all the more glad for it.

MARGOT’S MINI
Margot Molyneux is a womenswear brand that focuses on simple, clean designs. Each garment is made from their Cape Town studio, by a small team who focus on individual styles and fits.
They’ve recently introduced pattern and prints to their line, evident in this lemon yellow mini from their Spring/Summer ’14 Collection. The dress has a keyhole back neckline and short capped sleeves, perfect for day-to-day wear or dressed up for a more formal occasion.
Owned and designed by Margot Molyneux, the collection is a small run of handmade pieces using natural fibre fabrics wherever possible.
