When one of the country’s biggest gaming gatherings returns to Fourways Mall from 5–7 December, visitors will be greeted by a major new partnership shaping the weekend’s tech spotlight.
Word from Hisense SA is that the brand has officially teamed up with RGB Gaming for Rage Expo 2025, signalling a strong push into the competitive gaming and entertainment space.
The announcement positions the collaboration as a shared effort to elevate South Africa’s rapidly growing gaming community.
As the company explained in its statement, the goal is to place high-end display technology directly in the hands of the people who rely on it most, gamers, creators, and tech-driven families.
A showcase built for speed and immersion
Industry watchers say the expo floor will see a significant focus on next-generation visuals, as Hisense SA notes that the gaming televisions coming to the expo have been engineered around performance features that matter to players; high refresh rates, ultra-low input lag, and motion-optimised processing designed to sharpen fast-moving scenes.
Ryan Curling, who is a senior representative from the brand highlighted the intention behind the exhibition.
‘Gamers demand performance, precision, visual excellence, and our latest lineup, led by the 116UX, is built to deliver exactly that.’
Among the standout devices expected to draw attention is the PX3 Pro, a premium laser display built with Xbox-optimised gaming in mind.
Hisense emphasises that the model delivers calibrated colour accuracy, smooth HDR handling, and gameplay designed to support the fast-paced title library that Xbox players enjoy.
Then there’s the display likely to dominate social feeds throughout the expo: Africa’s largest television, the 116UX RGB Mini-LED.
Positioned by the company as its flagship, the model is built around next-generation backlight precision, extremely high brightness control, and a colour system meant for both gaming and high-fidelity cinematic content. Those attending Rage Expo will be able to test it in person.

Rage Expo has long been regarded as one of the few platforms where South African gamers, families, tech startups, and industry players mix under one roof.
Event organisers expect the Hisense–RGB Gaming partnership to boost the hands-on nature of this year’s show, which already features competitions and interactive demos.
From exclusive expo-only deals to guided product experiences, the brand’s presence is set up as a space for visitors to experiment with display tech they may have only seen online.
Hisense SA encourages anyone with a passion for gaming, technology, or visual media to stop at its booth and explore what the company describes as the future of large-format display technology.
