Dubbed the biggest awards show of the year, Kfm 94.5 invited the people of the Cape to vote across 30 categories for the 2022 Best of the Cape Awards. No funny business, just you choosing the Mother City’s finest. And Cape {town} Etc is adding to the gees by proudly supporting each winner.

The best guest house winner: 360on62 Mountain View Cottages
Surrounded by 360° mountain views, you’ll find this appropriately named sanctuary in the Little Karoo near Montagu, about two hours from Cape Town. This is an ideal place to escape big-city life, and immerse yourself in nature.
Choose your favourite view from a selection of five self-catering farm cottages. All cottages have fully equipped kitchens as well as outdoor braai facilities on the stoep.
The attention to detail in each cottage is something to celebrate. Unique trinkets and warm touches are dotted throughout.
Instead of TVs, you are treated to panoramic views and glorious birdsong during the day, and star-studded skies serenaded by owls and jackals at night.

Also on offer is a lovely function venue that caters up to 25 people. The venue includes the Khaya Karoo Pizza Bar, bar, pool and lapa. Pizzas and bar service can be provided, or you can cater the function yourself.
The whole family is welcome here, including members with fur and four legs, by prior arrangement.
Pets are welcome inside the cottages and to exercise and explore the farm – however, they need to do so under supervision, to protect other guests and their pets as well as your own pet. The farm is surrounded by natural vegetation, so your pets may encounter certain threats such as the pool, dam, snakes or birds of prey. The farm is, however, fully fenced. On request, a dog bed and/or bowl can be arranged.
Pooches aren’t the only ones that can go wild. Epic hiking trails, tractor trips, and fun-filled days at the pool, dam or lapa are just a few ways to keep yourself busy. A soak in the wood-fired hot tub alongside the dam is a must-do.

- Walking trail: walk on the farm or in the Montagu Mountain Nature Reserve and Montagu Nature Garden.
