As the 2026 wine grape harvest draws to a close, the historic Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate is set to host an elegant evening of music, food and celebration with its much-anticipated Jazz Under the Stars event on Friday, 10 April.
Taking place on the werf in front of the estate’s renowned Geuwels restaurant, the open-air gathering promises a relaxed yet refined experience under the autumn sky. Framed by heritage farm buildings and vineyards, the setting captures the essence of the Cape Winelands at harvest time.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Cap Classique before indulging in a generous seasonal starter spread that highlights the best of the estate’s harvest. The evening’s culinary experience continues with a plated main course curated by gastronomist Michelle Theron, whose menu draws on Cape heritage flavours and fresh produce grown on the farm. A heritage-inspired dessert rounds off the meal.
Adding to the atmosphere is live music from Moonshine, led by saxophonist Dan Shout. The band will perform a vibrant mix of jazz, swing and classic favourites, providing the perfect soundtrack as the sun sets and the evening unfolds.
Priced at R1 200 per person, the event has become a beloved tradition, offering guests a chance to unwind and celebrate the end of the harvest season in a warm, convivial setting. Estate wines will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.
With its blend of live music, seasonal cuisine and scenic charm, Jazz Under the Stars continues to stand out as one of the Cape’s most memorable harvest celebrations, a fitting tribute to the rhythms of the vineyard and the spirit of the season.
