Fans eagerly queued up for an hour and a half before the scheduled opening of Comic Con Cape Town. The event was completely sold out, and the atmosphere was electric as fans flooded in.

The pop culture and gaming festival got off to a fantastic start with the Hugo Lambrechts Orchestra performing the Star Wars theme song on the main stage, setting the tone for the rest of the event.
Fans were already starting to build connections and grow their communities, making the Con come alive with energy.


American actress Tati Gabrielle, best known for her roles on YOU and the movie adaptation of the video game Uncharted, had the crowd roaring in excitement as she made her first appearance at the Con.

The Walking Dead star, Ross Marquand also joined the main stage to make his first South African appearance to chat about his numerous projects including Marvel’s hit movie Avengers: Infinity War.
