In recent years cat and kitten fostering has become highly popular in Cape Town. Cat fostering agencies pay for sterilisation, early vet visits and vital shots and injections. This means, in fostering, you’re giving a kitten the best early start to life they can possibly get. Foster agencies are also microchipping kittens, ensuring their safety and your peace of mind.

It also means keeping them off the streets and preventing the chances of more cats becoming strays.

If you decide to adopt a cat or kitten in your care, the fostering agency will be in contact with you to assess whether you would be a good fit for the feline friend you’ve taken a liking to.
You’ll receive a questionnaire and other information about your adoption; past vet visits as well as upcoming dates, sterilisation information, dietary needs and other essentials to help you settle your cat in to its new home.

Gingerbread Club is a kitten fostering, non-profit organisation that aims to offer every kitten a nurturing, loving forever home.

TEARS Animal Rescue

TEARS Animal Rescue, saves cats and kittens from abandonment, neglect and abuse and rehabilitates them to find their forever family. With adoption fees of R950, adopting two cats at once is an easy thing to do; this means two times the love and two times the good deed of cat rescue.
