Good company and plenty of relaxed fun are the recipe ingredients for a perfect staycation and unlike a vacation, a staycation does not involve much adventure and exploration.
It is also most likely to be kinder to your wallet when compared to planning an activity-filled vacation.
If a staycation is on your list of plans for this festive season, here are a few ideas to help ensure that you can enjoy it to the fullest:
Visit your local museum

Visiting your local museum is a great way to play tourist and rediscover your hometown.
More often than not, we get so absorbed in our lives and the daily demands that need to be fulfilled, that we never really get the time to explore and enjoy the beauty and attractions closest to us.
If you are vacationing at home this festive season, consider museum visits as they are a laid-back activity you can enjoy with your loved ones while still in relaxation mode.
Games and quality time

A staycation is the ideal opportunity to bond with loved ones by playing different games.
From Scrabble to 30 Seconds and even Karaoke, you are guaranteed quality time and plenty of laughter with those closest to you.
Unleash your Inner Barista

When on staycation, it’s a great idea to tap into your creativity and unleash your inner barista by mixing up some good drinks.
After all, there’s nothing like a good cocktail to get you through the season’s hot days.
If you are looking to have a sober staycation, look no further. Here are some virgin cocktails to try:
