Enjoy an invigorating hike through Cape Points Vineyards’ view-drenched wine farm, with four wine-tasting stops along the way this Sunday, 27 March. It’s the perfect way to wrap up your weekend by celebrating your passion for wine and the outdoors with some of the best wine and views in Cape Town. So put on your most comfortable hiking shoes and join Cape Point Vineyards for a wholesome day of sensory engagement.

Cape Point Vineyards is a family-owned, female-driven Vineyard that is uniquely located in Noordhoek on the Cape Peninsula, where it is set rather majestically against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range and overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean – just 2 km’s away. Cool sea breezes along with ancient mountain soils make for a unique terroir with a late growing season that results in a world-class Sauvignon Blanc with minerals tones and great complexity.

The 4.5-kilometre hike begins at the Cape Point Vineyards luxurious restaurant, passing through the olive grove before entering the vineyards, which are unique for their proximity to the ocean.

There will be four wine-tasting stations set up along the way, each one showcasing the particular qualities of the vineyard block in which it is situated. Guests will be able to sample a variety of flavours and learn about the conditions that created them while enjoying breathtaking views all the way. Tickets cost R150 and include a bottle of the vineyard’s wine.

The route is child-friendly but has a 120-metre incline, so strollers are not recommended. Under 18s can join for free, although wine and wine-tasting are not included.
