Most of us in Cape Town are well-acquainted with First Thursdays, but how about Last Thursdays?
In the heart of Hout Bay, there’s a monthly curation of foodie treats with some specials and arts and culture trading to look forward to, where boutiques and foodie stalls put on an epic razzle for anyone looking to end off a month in a market-style celebration, and restaurants stay open a little later for the evening foodie.
Rounding off the season of Last Thursdays is a special event happening tonight, 28 April.
It’ll feature the delights of restaurants joining in on the fun, including Dimsum street-style foods from Yesca’s Teahouse, Indian Oven, Delish Restaurant, Fat Olive Food Truck and South Yeaster Bakery and the Collective Hout Bay, amongst others. Nalu Wines will also be partnering with many of the restaurants, where money from its bottle sales will go toward the Two Oceans Aquarium Turtle Rehab Project.
As for our trinkets, treasures and other delights; Mila’s Boutique, Spirit Jewellery, Nails Etc and Inkrepublik Tattoo Studio are all coming to the party.
Live music will also be on the menu, for that added zest of market ambience.
