On a mission to tackle plastic pollution in our seas, Two Oceans Aquarium is calling on all to join hands to help bash the human-induced plastic crisis our oceans currently face, one piece of trash at a time.
This Saturday, Trash Bashers will take on Mouille Point Beach in the hopes of stopping the cycle of pollution. By removing plastic, litter and other debris from beaches, there’ll be little to no pollution left to enter the water in the first place.
Since the first event in 2018, Trash Bash offers an ideal way to do something positive for the environment and have fun with friends and family. All while breathing in the fresh sea air and soaking up some sun.
Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing. Bring along some water (in a reusable bottle, of course), reusable gloves (like the ones you’d use for doing dishes or gardening) and a whole lot of good energy.
Did we mention that there are prizes to be won too?
To stand a chance of winning, guess the weight of the litter that will be collected during the clean up. Submit your guess when you register upon arrival.
The closest three guesses each receive a beautiful prize from Consol Glass, as well as some Two Ocean Aquarium goodies.
Don’t forget to install the Marine Debris Tracker app on Apple’s App Store or Android’s Play Store and join the Beach Co-op’s list to log the litter you collect on the day.
