In unravelling its own inspiration, The Black Bear Band will take the audience from the swamps of the Mississippi Delta to the juke joints of Memphis, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to the folk explosion of Upstate New York, with its diverse range of music.
The whole festival is an open-air show, weather permitting, and will take place at The Barn on Saturday, November 2, with only 80 tickets available for sale.
The music of other greats in the line-up at NashVegas will include Elvis Presley, JJ Cale, The Eagles, Chris Stapleton and The Band.
Black Bear are set to perform a number of hit covers as well as ‘original material influenced by these great artists’ and their music.
The show was inspired by singer-songwriter Craig Banks’ visits to Nashville and a supergroup of Cape Town musicians.
Alongside Banks, the band comprises of Wayne Pauli, David Goldberg, Malcolm Aberdeen and Damian Staz, who have amassed 40 years of playing and interpreting the music they love.
The evening gets underway at 6:30pm. Specials on food and drink will be advertised on The Barn’s social media channels.
Seating will be provided at long-tables, with the valley vistas as a backdrop to what ‘promises to be a spectacular evening’.
