Ndlovu Youth Choir, one of South Africa’s most successful choral ensembles, will be gracing the stage of Cape Town’s Artscape Theatre in October, scheduled for a limited run of six performances.

Ndlovu Youth Choir was founded in Limpopo in 2009 and has since garnered global recognition. Their distinct musical style has earned them a devoted following, and recent tours across the United States have only added to their international acclaim.

A three-piece band performs with the choir, which consists of fifteen talented choristers. Leading them is the accomplished conductor, composer and producer, Ralf Schmitt, whose creative vision infuses each performance with new vitality. This year’s local tour promises to be a celebration of music and culture, encapsulating the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s spirit.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir in Concert will feature an array of the choir’s most beloved hits. Audiences can look forward to renditions of classics like ‘Africa,’ ‘Easy On Me,’ ‘Shape of You,’ ‘Higher Love,’ ‘Man in the Mirror,’ and ‘We Will Rise.’
Their repertoire also includes renditions of Miriam Makeba’s ‘Mbube’ and ‘Special Star’ by South Africa’s beloved band Mango Groove. They will also perform original compositions such as ‘Grateful’ and ‘Celebrate’ from their third studio album, titled ‘Grateful’.

From their beginnings in the Moutse Valley of rural Limpopo, the Ndlovu Youth Choir’s rise to fame culminated in reaching the finals of America’s Got Talent (Season 14). Their music has resonated with audiences across Europe, America and Africa, and they’ve performed on numerous television and radio shows worldwide.
The choir’s versatility shines through their collaborations with various artists, including the likes of P!nk, Sun-El Musician and Kygo. They’ve also performed for famous personalities including Elton John, Trevor Noah, King Charles and George Clooney.
