Two Cape grey mongooses were captured in a standoff with a Cape cobra at Pinnacle Point Estate in Mossel Bay.
Captured by Kotie Voges and uploaded to Facebook, the video shows the mongooses approaching the snake in the middle of the road before following it into the bushes.
Although known for being skilled at catching snakes, mongooses are still not immune to their venom.
