No swimming pool or aircon? The city says ‘no problem!’. Keeping cool this Summer shouldn’t be a problem with Cape Town’s introduction of five new recreational spray parks throughout the city.
The recreational spray parks will consist of various water spray features such as water guns and cannons, guaranteed to keep the little ones entertained in the scorching Summer sun.
If you’re worried about water restrictions, Anda Ntsodo, the city’s mayoral committee member for community services‚ says that these water parks use much less water than it takes to fill a swimming pool because the water will be re-circulated through the spray park, similar to that of a pool filtration system.

The spray parks are situated at Khayelitsha‚ Nyanga‚ Valhalla Park‚ Ocean View and Scottsville, and will feature toddler sections as well as areas for older crowds.
Cooling off this Summer in Cape Town seems like no problem at all.
