The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is continuing to investigate all reports of unnatural incidents involving animals that have washed ashore in recent weeks.
There are many theories going around to explain the possible reason for the unusual incidents, with animal rituals and animal trafficking being the two leading theories. The SPCA is investigating all theories.
The SPCA said that any animal found on a public beach must be reported to the SPCA or City of Cape Town law enforcement. The finder should take photographs or a video of the animal for investigative purposes but refrain from touching the animal.
