This Saturday at 11am, visitors are invited to explore a collection of artistic endeavours at Paarden Eiland’s multidisciplinary project space, The Ramp.
‘Ready to Launch’ is an exhibition and open studio event that captures the essence of creativity and collaboration.
Throughout 2023, The Ramp has been a cradle of creativity, hosting a variety of artists and designers.
‘Ready to Launch’ is the culmination of this year-long journey, exhibiting a blend of works-in-progress, prototypes and finished pieces.

The exhibition will feature an eclectic mix of mediums, including ceramics, furniture, industrial design, fashion, sculpture, painting and photography.

Among the participating studios and artists are Leila Abrahams, Onisemo Bam, Cameron Barnes, David Brits, Ckho CeramiQue, Benny Domestic, Ex Hotel, Yonela Makoba, Nkopoleng Moloi, Gaelen Pinnock, The MAAK, Pia Truscott and Katya Volkova.
The Ramp’s ethos is built on the necessity of shared space. It believes in the power of collaboration, where knowledge, skills and resources are communal assets.
This philosophy has encouraged unexpected partnerships: ceramicists working alongside carpenters, welders joining forces with sculptors, and architects collaborating with web developers.
‘Ready to Launch’ invites the public to delve into the world of creative interference patterns, where disciplines collide and coalesce.
