The Haute Grandeur Global Restaurant Awards recognise remarkable achievements in delivering consistent, exceptional experiences in the global luxury hospitality industry. The category is based on “feedback from guests and not the quantity of votes by the general public or a panel of judges,” for transparency and fairness.
Founder and President of the organisation Marinique de Wet expressed that to win a Haute Grandeur Global Restaurant Award, a restaurant must excel on all levels of “excellence”.
“The 2022 Awards season demonstrated how restaurants around the world remained persistent to achieve greater heights despite challenges that exist in the industry. Healthy competition is essential to achieve even greater heights because it ensures sustainability as a guaranteed golden stamp of excellence. Award-winning establishments are perceived as the benchmark in the industry and Haute Grandeur only awards the most remarkable, of already exceptional restaurants,” said de Wet.
The hotel industry is highly competitive, granted therefore it is beneficial to create profitable networks. An association with Haute Grandeur Global Restaurant Awards guarantees participating restaurants and bars status and distinction. The organisation contributes annually towards raising the standards of excellence in the worldwide restaurant industry.
For Chef Cole and his Salsify par-excellence team, the award took them all the way to cloud nine. “We’re incredibly honoured to receive this award,” He said. “It’s a tribute to Salsify’s home, but also our evolution over the four years since we opened. As our space continues to evolve, we get to celebrate that we’re staying true to not only the building’s past but also Salsify’s sustainable, seasonal and local ethos.”
The category’s global winner was Glass House at Al Aziziyah Boutique Hotel in Qatar and Khyber at Dukes The Palm. We could not be more pleased with this Camps Bay jewel, Salsify for a wonderful achievement.
