Today, the restaurant has become a mainstay in the fishing village and is home to seven splendid venues, from being a council-run tea house in the thirties.
The below photograph of the building was taken during the 1950s. During this period, the building was used as a bathing pavilion hosting swimming lessons and galas for local schools.
The upper level depicted in the above photograph is where the restaurant’s Cabin Grill and Cabin Bar are situated, while the concrete stairs seen in the photograph is near the restaurant’s current entrance.
