Cape Town restaurant The Dog’s Bollocks has made it onto Big 7 Travel’s list of the top 50 best burgers in the world. Big 7 Travel is an American publication, a country that is well-versed in burgers.
Big 7 Travel’s list spanned burger places in various countries, and included two from South Africa: Cape Town’s The Dog’s Bollocks coming it at number 34 on the list, and Durban’s Smokin’ Joes at number 12.
The way this is decided is through a survey taken by over a million people across 60 countries. The survey asks participants to look at value for money, consistency, innovation, atmosphere, location and accessibility.
Big 7 Travel says, “these burgers are heavy. Seriously, come hungry. The burgers are wider than average, piled high with a delicious combo of the patty, greenery, tomatoes, and more.”

Is your mouth watering yet?
They also add that “most people opt for one of the beef burgers, made with 200g medium beef, but the chicken is popular too.”
The Dog’s Bollocks also has delicious veggie and vegan options for plant-based guests.
