Cape Town’s cultural scene is about to be dazzled as the globally renowned Museum of Illusions opens its doors on Saturday, 31 May 2025, at 10 Kloof Street, Gardens. This marks the museum’s debut in the city, becoming the second in South Africa and the 61st worldwide.

Operating Hours

The museum will be open 7 days a week:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Thursday to Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • Sunday and Public Holidays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Ticket information

Tickets are available both online and at the door. Pricing is as follows:

  • Adults: R250

  • Children (ages 4–12) & seniors: R200

  • Family bundle (2 Adults + 2 Children): R790

Children aged 3 and under enter for free. The museum operates on a cashless basis; only card payments are accepted.

While there is no dedicated parking, visitors can utilise nearby public parking facilities. The museum is wheelchair-friendly, though some exhibits may have limited accessibility due to structural designs.
