Camps Bay
This pool hides among a row of boulders on Camps Bay beach and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. The beach is lined with restaurants, cafés and bars, so swimmers have plenty of options if they need a bite to eat after a day in the water.

Dalebrook
Nestled between St James and Kalk Bay, this tidal pool is popular among the locals, offering a safe space for swimmers. Enjoy a warm coffee at Dalebrook Café across the road after an icy dip.
The nearby St James beach is ideal for sunbathing after a refreshing swim.

Miller’s Point
Miller’s Point, just further south from Simon’s Town, has a secluded tidal pool close to diving spots and areas great for kayaking. A children’s pool with a small slide dropping down into the main pool makes this a pleasant space for families. There are changing rooms and toilets nearby, as well as picnic and braai spots.
Be aware that crafty baboons sometimes show up in the area. Please remember not to feed or attempt to touch these animals.

Glencairn
The tidal pool in this False Bay suburb was rebuilt to allow more water to enter it. It is a wonderful place to bring the kids to dip in the water and explore the rocky surrounding area.

Saunders Rock
Saunders Rock beach in Bantry Bay has the advantage of being close to some of Sea Point’s most popular eateries.
Partly enclosed by giant boulders, the pool here may be small, but is perfect for sharing a dip with friends or family.

Situated between the seaside towns of Kalk Bay and Muizenberg, the tidal pool on St James beach is popular among the locals, offering a safe space for swimmers. The beach’s iconic multi-coloured changing huts are recognised worldwide and well-worth a visit in themselves.
