According to the 2023 Henley & Partners Passport Index, South Africans can explore various destinations worldwide without requiring a visa.
The index revealed Singapore’s passport as the most powerful, boasting a visa-free score of 192. Germany, Italy and Spain jointly secured the second spot with a score of 190. But here’s an African destination that’s not visa-free, but would that stop you from exploring the best things to do in Morocco?

As reported by Business Tech, The study included 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, evaluating their travel strength and rankings. Henley & Partners, the investment migration consultancy, assessed each passport based on the total count of visa-free accessible destinations for its holder.
Henley & Partners explained their scoring system, stating that a score of 1 is assigned to a passport for each destination where no visa is needed. This includes instances where passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival, a visitor’s permit, or an electronic travel authority (ETA) upon entry.
South Africa ranks in the 52nd position out of 104 countries, boasting a visa-free score of 106. Compared to the previous year’s ranking of 55th, the country has made progress by climbing three positions.
Consequently, South African passport holders now enjoy visa-free access to 106 countries worldwide as both Burundi and Gambia have recently granted visa-free entry to South African passport holders.
