Bucket Boy is a poignant comedy which takes place in a DVD store that’s struggling to survive as streaming networks begin to take over as the preferred medium for watching film and TV. Two men’s pasts collide in a play full of wit, nostalgia, mystery and suspense.

Yevgeny Kutik – Violin and more
The Cape Town Concert Series completes its season with violinist Yevgeny Kutik. With a ‘dark-hued tone and razor-sharp technique’ (The New York Times), violinist Yevgeny Kutik has captivated audiences worldwide with an old-world sound that communicates a modern intellect. Praised for his technical precision and virtuosity, he is also lauded for his poetic and imaginative interpretations of standard works as well as rarely heard and newly composed repertoire. For this concert Yevgeny will present a programme of chamber music with the violin as centrepiece.

Ndumiso Lindi – Keeping up with the Xhosaz
Ndumiso Lindi the Roosta is taking his show to the road and bringing along the best home-grown talent.
‘South Africa is a country where diversity is celebrated in all its forms. Audiences now want to hear their stories delivered in their own languages, and the comedians we have chosen are a true reflection of where we all come from,’ shares Ndumiso.‘It’s always been my dream to do a show like this, a show people look forward to because it speaks to them. We have come from far to make a living in these big cities. It’s not an easy process, so now and then, we should meet up and have a good laugh.’
The show will be performed in a mix of mostly Xhosa and some English.

A Faint Patch of Light
A Faint Patch of Light, nominated for 2 Fleur du Caps (Best Emerging Director and Best Performer) and winner of a Standard Bank Ovation Award, is a queering of Athol Fugard’s ‘Statements After an Arrest under the Immorality Act’ to make visible black lesbian struggles in South African townships.
This story follows two women’s negotiations with violence, love, desire and infidelity whilst living on the margins.
The production contains full nudity and is not suitable for viewers under 16.

Marc Lottering – So I Wrote That Musical
So I Wrote That Musical is Marc Lottering’s brand new stand-up comedy show. Aside from being one of SA’s top stand-up comedians, Marc has also written 3 smash hit musicals.
In his new solo stand-up show, one of South Africa’s favourite comedians reflects on the process of moving between the worlds of stand-up comedy and musical theatre. And as is to be expected, Lottering will weave in his views on the madness of current South African life.
So I Wrote That Musical runs for 80 minutes with no interval, and is not suitable for children.
