With an exciting addition of Sundowners to its offerings, guests can enjoy the beauty of late afternoons in the Franschhoek Valley with a delicious glass of wine and a menu of small plates and pizzas.
Summer Sundowners at Leopard’s Leap offers guests a choice between making the most of the late afternoon summer sun on bean bags, inviting friends to a table under a tree or enjoying the view of the golden hues of the setting sun from the expansive stoep.
The addition of sundowners to Leopard’s Leap was designed to cater for visitors to the Franschhoek Valley looking for a place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks under Cape Wineland’s sunsets.
To accommodate this need, Leopard’s Leap extends its hours on Fridays and Saturdays, offering Sundowners from 4pm to 7pm.
Sundowners at Leopard’s Leap complement the farm’s regular operating hours, which run from Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 4pm offering the popular Rotisserie lunch, South African Table, pizza and small plate menus, as well as a lovely kid’s menu and dessert counter.
The Sundowners menu is a delightful mix of small plates (rotating seasonally), wood-fired pizzas and artisanal cheese boards, all perfectly paired with Leopard’s Leap’s exceptional wine selection.
The lunch menu from the popular Rotisserie restaurant offers a selection of meats including the famous pork belly, lamb and beef neck, all of which pair exceptionally well with the range of Leopard’s leap wines, available at cellar door prices.
The harvest table filled with seasonal sides and salads remains a favourite among guests who enjoy a relaxed lunch with family and friends.
Guests have a choice of the complete selection of Leopard’s Leap wines which include the much-loved Classic Collection, the reserve Family Collection, the French-inspired Culinaria Collection and Pardus, a lighter style red celebrating the Leopards of the Cape.
Culinary Manager, Marisca Johanissen explains that the food and wine on offer aim to support Leopard’s Leap motto: Adding quality to everyday life. It’s all about enjoying delicious foods and drinks at very good value.
Guests can take pride in supporting Leopard’s Leap, knowing their visit helps contribute to the plight of the vulnerable leopards of the Cape.
Leopard’s Leap is a sponsor of the Cape Leopard’s Trust (CLT), a non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation engaged in innovative research, conservation and education projects established to facilitate and promote the conservation of biological diversity, according to CLT’s website.
For November, 10% of all sales on a combination of six bottles of Rosés wine purchased from the Leopard’s Leap shop or tasting room will be donated to the CLT.
