For one night only, Sexy Fish will be popping up in Cape Town’s Cause Effect Cocktail Lounge and Cape Brandy Bar in celebration of its new cocktail menu, Trinity, launching across six continents.
The menu will focus on balancing the elements of flavour, aroma, and texture, creating unexpected synergies to excite the senses.

Sexy Fish’s new menu will be launched for one night only at four host bars around the world, all of which are known for their industry-leading mixologists and impeccable cocktails.
On the night itself, guests will be able to enjoy the whole Sexy Fish experience at Cause Effect in Cape Town, South Africa; EL BARN in Cartagena, Colombia; Re- in Sydney, Australia; and Zest in Seoul, South Korea.
The limited-edition cocktail list has been lovingly curated by Xavier Landais, Director of Bars at Caprice Holdings, alongside his team of bartenders.
It will feature twenty show-stopping new creations, including sixteen alcoholic and four non-alcoholic variations.
Utilising an array of select spirits, including vodka, gin, whisky and tequila, the menu will play on flavour, aroma and texture.
Director of Bars, Xavier Landais, comments: “Our brand-new cocktail menu is the culmination of six months of development work and is a huge passion project for all 40 of our London and Miami bartenders. This is such an exciting project, and it is the first time we have launched a brand-new menu across six continents on the same day with our full Sexy Fish menu and original glassware.”
“It’s incredible that guests visiting our host bars will be able to enjoy the full Sexy Fish experience for one night only, whether they are in Colombia, South Africa, Australia or South Korea,” he continues.
Highlights include Coconut and Lemongrass, featuring coconut-infused Absolut Elyx Vodka, coconut, sake, lime, celery and lemongrass, bringing together a delicate yet refreshing cocktail.
The Marshmallow and Raspberry, featuring marshmallow-infused Roku Gin, raspberry, fortified wines and egg white, create an unctuous ruby-red cocktail, while those wanting a mezcal kick can enjoy the Coffee and Toast, featuring brown butter-infused The Lost Explorer Mezcal, coffee, caramel, Campari and manzanilla.
Non-alcoholic cocktails include Malt and Cinnamon, combining Everleaf Forest with cinnamon, lemon and Lucky Saint beer.
Sexy Fish London has been nominated for a number of leading awards and accolades, including International Best Restaurant Bar 2022 at Tales of the Cocktails in New Orleans, and Cause Effect Cocktail Bar was named one of the world’s 50 best bars in 2022.
Kurt Schlechter, the brains behind the concept, was voted one of “The World’s Top 100 Influential People in the Industry” by Drinks International Magazine in 2019.
His cocktail kitchen is a study in creativity, where the best flavours from the Cape are found, made and served. The oceans, mountains, fynbos and vineyards of Cape Town are the inspiration for the drinks at Cause Effect Cocktail Kitchen, which are made with raw ingredients. Cause Effect uses modern techniques that are based on our local history, diversity and love for the drinks industry.
