Christmas in Winter has been a longstanding tradition in Tulbagh as the establishment of this weekend of festivities dates back to 2001. The weekend is filled with wine tastings, arts & crafts, entertainment and most importantly the spirit of Christmas!

Tulbagh annually opens its arms to the rest of the country for this weekend of wonderful winter warmers. The festival is set to take place from the 28th June until the 30th June. Church Street, one of Tulbagh’s most central roads, is completely closed off in order for vendors to wholly prepare for the early coming of Christmas. Watching the farmer’s electric light parade, exploring the handmade market, delighting in live music and feasting off of food trucks are included in this year’s activities.
Vendors such as Holy Macaroni, Truck Norris, Coastal Dogs and Mighty Shwarma have confirmed that their mouth-watering meals will be available all weekend.
Michael Canfield, a USA-born drummer who has played alongside icons such as Paul Simon and Bob Dylan, is set to perform not one but two shows throughout the weekend. He is also known for working with South African legend Johnny Clegg so it goes without saying that this is good company to keep.
The cherry on top of it all is that Daddy’s Deals is running a special on accommodation in Tulbagh which just so happens to be valid until the 30th June 2024. You’re practically spoilt for choice as you decide between a guesthouse stay; a country villa or a luxury tent.
