We all have those specific destinations in the world that we aim to visit before we die, and to help travellers narrow down their options, Big Seven Travel conducted a travel survey to find out which are the most worthy of your bucket list.

Big Seven Travel’s survey included their 1.5-million social audience. Readers were asked to submit the spots around the globe they most hope to visit one day or that they consider the most worth the travelling to.

After consolidating the survey results, a top 50 list of the most desirable destinations for 2019 was compiled to help those consumed with wanderlust to choose their next adventure destination and add more to their list of must-visit places.

It comes as no surprise that destinations with the most natural beauty or world-famous landmarks took the top spots. Iconic cities make up 52% of the list while destinations with white sandy beaches make up 22%. On average readers had 11 destinations on their personal bucket list and hope to visit at least seven of these in their lifetime.

The Mother City made it to 8th spot in the world, beating out internationally-recognised and popular destinations like Las Vegas, Cinque Terre in Italy, The Great Wall of China and Ibiza in Spain.

Without further ado, here is the top 10 list:

10. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

9. Dubai

8. Cape Town

7. Paris

6. The Maldives

5. Sydney
