For Argentina to claim their first Rugby Championship title, they need to earn five log points and prevent the Boks from receiving a losing bonus point. This means Los Pumas must win the upcoming Test by more than seven points and score at least three more tries than the men in green and gold.
If both teams end up with 19 log points, Argentina would be declared champions based on the competition rules, despite the Boks holding a significantly better points differential (+53 compared to Argentina’s +16). The determining factor for standings is the number of wins against teams tied on points, which would favour Los Pumas due to their two victories over South Africa.
In this high-stakes showdown, Argentina will be aiming for history while the Springboks look to claim their fifth Rugby Championship.
