In the coming months, the V&A waterfront will open its very own urban park, acting as a gateway between the city and the popular shopping destination.

Battery Park spans over 1.2 hectares and forms part of the V&A’s canal district.

The Park will feature a series of pedestrian walking routes and various outdoor recreation, entertainment and retail activities.

Features of the park include a basket ball court, pavilion, sustainable garden, skate park, soccer field and a family area with various offerings for children including rocking horses and a scooter patch.
Visitors can also stand up paddle (SUP), kayak or swim on the canal.
The peaceful routes along the park are also perfectly suited to cyclists and disabled visitors.
The pavilion in the park will soon play host to a selection of entertainment in coming months as well.
